Acceptable Use Policy

Network Acceptable Use

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs use of IP address space, tunneled connectivity, and managed networking services provided by Vertex Networks LLC (“Vertex Networks”) to its customers.

  • Vertex Networks provides connectivity using its own address space and transit relationships with a variety of upstream providers. Use of these services is acceptable so long as it does not cause Vertex Networks to be in violation of the acceptable use policies of those upstream providers.
  • Customers who route traffic or announce address space provided by Vertex Networks on behalf of their own customers are responsible for enforcing an acceptable use policy on those customers that is at least as restrictive as this one.

Prohibited Uses

Regardless of service type, customers may not use Vertex Networks services to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email or engage in other spamming activity.
  • Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or other activity intended to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to third-party systems.
  • Distribute malware or operate command-and-control infrastructure.
  • Host or distribute content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Violate applicable law, including export control and sanctions regulations.

Reporting Violations

If you believe a Vertex Networks customer is in violation of this policy, and you’ve made a reasonable effort to resolve the issue directly with them first, send documentation and a clear explanation of the issue to abuse@vertexnet.works.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services evolve. The current version will always be available at this URL.
